AI4Health.Cro Project Highlights at the 127th Croatian Healthcare Employers’ Congress

15 May 2024 – The Croatian Health Employers’ Association (Udruga poslodavaca u zdravstvu Hrvatske) successfully organized its 127th Congress on May 9-10, 2024, at the Amadria Park Hotel Royal in Opatija. The event was held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia and showcased a remarkable international dimension.

Bringing together over 400 participants from various segments of the Croatian healthcare system, the congress saw attendance from healthcare administrators, directors and representatives of healthcare institutions, local and regional government officials, IT experts, pharmaceutical industry representatives, medical equipment manufacturers, and media professionals.

One of the highlights of the congress was the roundtable discussion on “e-Health” held on May 9, 2024. Esteemed panelists included Tanja Bedovec from the Ministry of Health, Jelena Curać from the Croatian Health Insurance Fund (HZZO), Ino Protrka from Dom zdravlja Zagreb-Centar, Ivan Gabrić from IN2, and Darko Gvozdanović from Ericsson NT.

A significant part of the discussion was dedicated to the presentation of the AI4Health.Cro project  by Ino Protrka. He elaborated on the role of Dom zdravlja Zagreb-Centar in the AI4Health.Cro project and outlined the future expectations. He emphasized how AI could enhance healthcare services, improve patient outcomes, and streamline administrative processes. The discussion also highlighted the collaborative efforts between healthcare providers and technology partners to ensure the successful implementation of AI-driven solutions in the healthcare sector.

Presented to a large congress audience comprised of healthcare administrators, IT experts, pharmaceutical industry leaders, and more, the AI4Health.Cro project drew significant interest and enthusiasm.

The AI4Health.Cro project represents a significant step forward in the digital transformation of healthcare in Croatia, aiming to set new standards in patient care and operational efficiency. The insights and discussions from the round table underscored the importance of such initiatives in shaping the future of healthcare, making the event a pivotal moment for all stakeholders involved.
