3 June 2023 – Our partners from the Health Center Zagreb – Centar recently shared their experiences with AI technology in an article published in Jutarnji list. The article shows how these healthcare professionals are using AI for the benefit of patients.

The integration of AI technology in healthcare has proven extremely valuable for Dom zdravlja Zagreb – Centar and Magdalena, Clinic for Cardiovascular Medicine. By combining artificial intelligence, machine learning, and large data sets, these facilities are able to perform faster and more accurate analysis, identify patterns, and provide targeted therapies to patients.
The main goal is to reduce the administrative burden on medical staff, speed up report generation, and improve patient monitoring. This approach contributes to better treatment outcomes and greater efficiency in the healthcare system.
At the EU level, initiatives such as AI4HealthCro play an important role in advancing healthcare. These projects are producing innovative technologies and tools that can improve diagnostics, disease monitoring and personalized care for patients. The combination of artificial intelligence, machine learning and large datasets enables faster and more accurate analysis, identification of patterns and delivery of targeted therapies.
To minimize human error and prevent the misuse of AI in healthcare, a comprehensive regulatory framework for AI is to be established at the EU level. Last year, a study titled “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare” was published, emphasizing the importance of involving physicians, healthcare professionals, experts, technicians and patients in the development of AI applications. This collaborative approach ensures responsible and effective use of AI in healthcare.
The AI4HealthCro project serves as a unifying network that connects all healthcare stakeholders to facilitate the application of artificial intelligence solely for the benefit of patients, healthcare professionals, and the entire healthcare sector.
